園内には緑が多く、芝生やベンチでのんびり休める場所がたくさんあります。
遊園地も併設されています。
動物を見たり、遊園地で遊んだり、芝生で寝転がったり、お弁当を食べたり、ピクニック感覚でどうぞ。

動物園の正門から入ると一番最初にいてお出迎えしてくれます。
泳いでいたり、昼寝していたり、のんびり気ままに過ごしています。
They are the first to be there to greet you as you enter through the zoo's main gate.
They swim, take naps, and spend their time relaxing however they like.

キリンの父子がいます。
現在は別々に遠く離れた場所にいますが、お互いのほうを見て気にしているようで、今も仲良さそうです。
There is a father and son giraffe.
They are currently far apart, but they still keep an eye on each other and seem to get along well.

現在はオスのキロルくんが１頭でいます。
（メスのミルクさんは2023年3月1日に亡くなりました）
広々としたプールを泳いだりオモチャで遊んだり、のんびり過ごしています。

合計５頭のライオンとトラがいます。
アムールトラのココアちゃんは釧路市動物園のシンボル的存在。
足が不自由な状態で生まれてきましたが、元気に生きています！

カワウソが自由に屋内と屋外を行き来しながら暮らしています。
陸地で真っ直ぐに立つこともあります。ビックリ！？
Otters live freely, moving between indoors and outdoors.
They can even stand upright on land. Surprising!

新しい綺麗な施設の中でレッサーパンダが遊んでいます。
高い木も植えられていて、レッサーパンダがどこにもいない？と思ったら木を見上げてみると葉っぱに囲まれて枝の上で昼寝しているかも。
Red pandas are playing in this new, beautiful facility.
There are tall trees planted, so if you think there are no red pandas anywhere, look up at the trees and you'll see they're probably taking a nap on the branches, surrounded by leaves.

動物園の敷地内にとても広い散策路があります。
自然に囲まれてとても気持ち良いです。
There is a very wide walking path within the zoo grounds.
It feels great to be surrounded by nature.

北海道ゾーンの中にタンチョウやハクチョウなどがいます。
In the Hokkaido zone you can see cranes, swans, and other birds.

施設が面白い構造になっており、フクロウやミミズクがたくさんいる中にトンネル状の通路があります。
通路の頭上にいるフクロウから見下ろされたり、近寄ると威嚇されたり、貴重な体験ができます。
The facility has an interesting structure, with a tunnel-like passageway surrounded by many owls and barn owls.
It's a rare experience to be looked down upon by the owls above you in the passageway, and to be intimidated if you get too close.

園内には観覧車などの遊具があります。
観覧車に乗ると、動物園全体を見下ろすこともできます。
The zoo has amusement rides such as a Ferris wheel.
If you ride the Ferris wheel, you can look down on the entire zoo.
